Stir Welding
Proprietary Technology: Solid-State Joining for Al/Mg Alloys
Friction Stir Welding (FSW) is a revolutionary solid-state joining technology independently developed by our team. FSW is primarily used to join aluminum and magnesium alloys. Utilizing a proprietary stirring tool rotating at high speed, it achieves material plastic flow and dense connection through frictional heat and mechanical stirring, without melting the parent material.
Proven Application: Cold Plates & Target Backing Plates
FSW’s minimal heat input advantage results in minimal distortion, and completely eliminates porosity and cracking common in fusion welding. This superior leak-proof sealing and high thermal conductivity have been successfully applied to the critical joining of liquid cold plates and sputtering target backing plates, with excellent results confirmed by client testing. We demonstrate our capability to provide reliable thermal management solutions for high-power electronics and semiconductor equipment.
Leading Process Efficiency: Eco-Friendly and Reliable Solution
Stir Welding not only offers the advantage of High Efficiency in production but is also environmentally friendly. The process requires no shielding gas or filler material. Leveraging our independently developed process parameters and equipment optimization, we deliver high-strength, lightweight, and reliable joining solutions for aluminum and magnesium alloys that surpass traditional methods.
